d. Hardness too high
e. High particle count
f. Poor circulation
g. Excessive dissolved solids
a. Treat daily with shock treatment until combined chlorine is gone
b. Add pH Down until level is 7.2 - 7.6
c. Add dry or liquid acid as per Leisure Fun Pools instructions
d. Use a portable softener, then add Metasol
e. Add filter aid as instructed
f. Check skimmer valve settings, adjust return(jet) nozzle downwards
g. Backwash at a rate of 1% per day until water is completely changed

Scale Formation a. pH is too high
b. total Alkalinity too high
c. Dissolved calcium too high
a. Add pH Down as per instructions
b. Add acid as per instructions

Excessive Chlorine usage a. Pool water not stabilized
b. Dirty lint strainer or skimmer basket
c. Overhanging trees
d. pH out of balance
a. Add stabilizer per instructions

b. Combined chlorine in water
a. Adjust pH to 7.2-7.6
b. Shock your pool with Pool Shock or Oxy-Out

Corrosion of Metal Parts pH too low Adjust pH to 7.2-7.6

Erratic pH Low Total Alkalinity Test Alkalinity. Add Alka Plus

Stains or Coloured Water Metals in water "Floc" the water to remove metal stains. Add Metasol.

Visible Green Algae Lack of Chlorine Superchlorinate with Pool Shock Daily and add Poly Algaecide

Black Algae Spots Lack of Chlorine Put a 90% available chlorine tablet in a soft cloth bag and lower on a string until near the spots. Brush the spots at intervals until they disappear.

High Chlorine Reading with Cloudy Water a. Total Chlorine being read
b. Test Solution faulty
